Guide the trainees through known Windshear management techniques (flap, runway, TO1 etc) and discuss the ERJ 170/190 indications of windshear and guidance system.
Discuss actions in the event of windshear without EGPWS announcement. SOP manual 2-83 refers.
To complete manoeuvre select HDG or NAV, FLCH, engage A/P and retract flap on schedule.
Post mod 27.1 the use of FMS speeds is recommended. LNAV is armed after pressing TO/GA button, engaging at 200’. VNAV is armed after pressing TO/GA, engaging according to the go-around limits page.
ATC: “XXX runway 35 cleared for take-off”
ATC: “Turn right HDG 090 and climb to 10 000’”
Ensure trainees are familiar with the actions in the event of a flight control roll or pitch jam.
Cover with the trainees:
Reposition to FL350 established in the cruise. Guide the trainees on the engine failure and driftdown procedure.
Reinforce the differences between load 25 and 27.1:

FREEZE POSITION on completion.
Descent planning should have been rehearsed in the classroom. If needed after the driftdown event, reposition to extended final prior to IAF.
ATC: “Cleared RNP approach 35”
ATC: “Contact tower 118.7”
Reposition onto final for an ILS approach with FD, crosswind 15 knots. For second student, an incapacitation on take-off (no V1 call) will increase training outcomes.
ATC: “Contact ground 121.7”
BREAK 15 mins then repeat for trainee 2 from windshear events.
